His fervor for public service only intensified as he contested the local body elections in 2006, emerging victorious as a ZPTC member from Midgil Mandal, standing as an independent candidate.

A testament to his adaptability and leadership acumen, Revanth transitioned to the legislative arena, in 2007 he was elected as member of Legislative Council as an Independent candidate. Later securing a seat in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly from the Kodangal constituency in 2009. His tenure as an MLA from 2009 to 2014 in the APLA, followed by his service in the Telangana Legislative Assembly from 2014 to 2018, showcased his unwavering dedication to his constituents’ welfare.

Revanth’s political journey reached new heights when he was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha Constituency, representing the Indian National Congress (INC). His ascendancy continued as he assumed the mantle of President of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), after the Telangana Assembly elections he was elected as leader of Congress Legislature party unanimously, a testament to his leadership within the party.
